More than a million and a half Jews participated in the fighting against Nazi Germany as soldiers and combatants in the armies of the countries in which they lived. This volume is based on three conferences held by the Goldstein-Goren Diaspora Research Center on the subject, and brings together articles that discuss a wide variety of countries and reflect various aspects of the Jewish armed struggle against the Germans: in occupied and unoccupied countries, in regular armies and partisan organizations, and in Jewish and general frameworks.
