Meet Our Staff

The Liberal Arts team will be by your side from your first day on campus, making sure that you have a fantastic experience at Tel Aviv University

Student Counselors 24/7

Our student counselors (Heb: Madrichim) are Israeli students who live on campus and assist international students with any request you may have, 24 hours a day. They will be by your side from the day you arrive on campus, to help you integrate into Israeli and campus life. They will offer you guidance on topics such as housing issues, medical appointments and similar, and are also in charge of preparing social and cultural activities, such as holiday parties, movie nights, and trips to explore Tel Aviv and Israel. They also coordinate TAU’s volunteer program in cooperation with Israeli non-profits.

The “Buddy System”

The “Buddy System” is a project created specifically for international students, in collaboration with TAU’s student union. It is a group for students run by students, who want to help make your experience at TAU unforgettable. Meet and build friendships with Israeli students and connect to the city and the country, through the “Buddy System’s” trips, lectures, volunteering, parties, and more. See more information and photos from previous events on this Facebook page or send an email to: people@taubuddysystem.com. Additional information will be provided during orientation week.

Psychological Services

Our students’ well-being is our top priority. Therefore, we have a dedicated team that focuses on the psychological health of our students, including an American psychologist who is available for our international students (the services are strictly confidential by law). Students are welcome to make an appointment through Ms. Lena Arbiv, secretary of the university's psychological services, by phone: 03-640-8505 or e-mail: clinic@post.tau.ac.il. Their offices are located in the Mitchell Building in room 216. Office hours are Sundays-Thursdays from 8:30 to 14:30.

Crisis Hotline

Should a conflict arise (discrimination, harassment or similar) please contact the TAU International office (phone: 03-640-8118) located in the Carter Building on campus. In addition, the student services hotline (phone: 03-640-8222) handles psychological counseling and crisis. This hotline runs from 8:00 until 14:00.
