About
Oded Lipschits is professor of Jewish history in the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near East Cultures at Tel Aviv University. He is incumbent Austria Chair of the Archeology of the Land of Israel in the Biblical Period and for 12 years served as the Director of the Sonia and Marco Nadler Institute of Archaeology. He was appointed Dean of the Faculty of the Humanities of Tel Aviv University in October 2025.
