Dr. Nimrod Tal heads the Regev Program for Excellence in Teaching at Kibbutzim College and is a faculty member in its Department of History. Nimrod researches and teaches on the topics of American history, history education, and the teaching of history. His publications include, among others, The American Civil War in British Culture: Representations and Responses, 1870s to the Present (Palgrave 2015), Cultures of War in Graphic Novels (Rutgers University Press, 2018) and Historical Education: Arenas and Connections (Hakibbutz Hameuchad, 2023) with Prof. Eyal Naveh. He is currently researching the history of the teaching of history in Israel. Together with Prof. Naveh, he founded the Israeli Institute for Historical Education at Kibbutzim College, which he headed until 2023. He is a graduate of the Mandel Program for Leadership in Academia in Teaching Training.
