English Literature track

English Literature: Single Major (120 credit hours)

This option is meant for students with an outstanding academic record in their first year of studies who have completed at least 20 course hours at the Department of English Literature and American Studies with an average grade of 85 or higher. In addition, students who wish to transfer to this track must complete at least 16 course hours in their second major with a minimal grade of 80 in each course.

Students who are interested of the single track and meet these prerequisites are invited to contact the department office at the end of their first year. Switching tracks is contingent on the approval of the BA advisor.

Students in the single major must maintain an average grade of 85 in subsequent years.
Students on this track whose achievements fall below the above standard will be transferred back to the double major program after their case has been reviewed by the Department Teaching Committee.
