TAU's Database for the Study of Antisemitism and Racism was founded by Prof. Dina Porat, Dr. Roni Stauber and other scholars in 1992 within the framework of TAU's Project for the Study of Antisemitism. Work on the database continued in 1998 with the establishment of the Stephen Roth Institute. The Database now includes over 30,000 entries culled from a wide variety of public sources in a range of languages.
As part of a re-organization of university research units in 2011, the Database is now administered under the auspices of TAU’s Kantor Center for the Study of Contemporary European Jewry.
The Roth Institute continues to contribute regularly to the Database as well as the Annual Report of Antisemitic Events through the work of the Project on Tolerance and Intolerance under the direction of Dr. Esther Webman.
