Research Seminar:

Cohn Institute’s research seminar is a platform for discussion of innovative research in the various fields covered by the institute. The institute’s faculty members, students, graduates and visiting scholars from Israel and abroad present assorted issues related to their research fields. The seminar occurs every week on Monday evenings and is open to the public as well as to scholars and students.

 

The Amos Funkenstein Prize:

The Award of 10,000 NIS is granted once a year to a distinguished M.A. thesis or Ph.D. dissertation from the different domains of knowledge with which the late prof. Funkenstein was involved. The award is granted in a ceremony held at the last meeting of the research seminar at the end of every academic year.

The Bar-Hillel Colloquium:

Every year, the Cohn Institute together with the Edelstein Center at the Hebrew University and the Van Leer institute in Jerusalem, holds a series of eight meetings dedicated to various subjects in the domain of the history and philosophy of science. Most speakers at the colloquium are leading scholars in their field who arrive from abroad. The meetings are held in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

 

The International Workshop:

An additional cooperation of the Cohn Institute, the Edelstein Center, and the Van Leer institute is the international workshop. It is held once a year and is dedicated to a distinct domain of knowledge. The international workshop aims to offer a solid ground for prominent scholars to meet and discuss the thought-provoking research questions of the field.
